Current List of WIPs (with descriptions)
Now that I've finished my tomlinshaw exchange fic, I figured I'd make myself a list of some of the bits and pieces I've abandoned along the way. The exchange fic was the first one I've ever written and finished, so I'm super excited to write one for myself this time.
Here's what I've got (below the cut). Also, tw for eating disorders and sexual abuse.
1. Tomlinshaw Canon-Compliant Amnesia fic (7k so far). Basically Nick wakes up with amnesia/maybe he time traveled, and he finds out he's married to Louis and they have two kids. The last thing he remembers of Louis is that they hooked up at Harry's New Year's party two months before his memory cuts out, and Nick never called him back. It's pretty tropey at this point, but it has a lot of anxious Nick and soft understanding Louis, and I like that.
2. Eating Disorder Fic(4.5k ish). This started as a tomlinshaw fic, but I think i'm going to switch it to Nouis. As it is, Louis is a model who develops an eating disorder, because he gets preyed upon by someone exec in the industry who body shames him (and maybe sexually abuses him). Something big happens that makes him kind of be ousted from the industry, so he moves in with Niall in Manchester, who was his best friend from secondary school, even though they haven't talked in forever. I MIGHT switch this one so that Niall's the main character though, because I kind of want to explore how Niall's methodical and orderly nature would effect how his ED manifests.
3. Gryles Petting Zoo Kid Fic. This one is still just a thought in my head, that came out of the above ED fic. In that fic, Louis was going to work at Harry's petting zoo and that's how he met Nick, but now I think I just want it to be Gryles. I'm thinking maybe Nick's kid has some sort of sensory disorder, so they have a really hard time with noise and texture, but they seem to really like animals. So his therapist suggests that Nick take him to the petting zoo, which Harry owns. Maybe there's some kind of misunderstanding on Harry's end and he confronts Nick because he thinks is cruel that he keeps bring his kid back when his kid is obviously overwhelmed every time, but once they get through that, it's very tender.
4. Tomlinsaw Self-Harm (around 2k maybe). This is just a short one where Louis hasn't self-harmed in a while, but decides to shows Nick his scars for the first time. It's domestic and soft, with a side of anxiety. It's pretty close to being done, but I don't like the first half very much, so I think I'm going to heavily edit that.
I think that's what I've got right now (or at least the ones that I might want to write). I might post some snippets in the next few days, if anyone's interested.
